Internship
Apart from technical knowledge and skills, to be successful as professionals, students should have excellent soft skills, leadership qualities and team spirit. They should have entrepreneurial capabilities and societal commitment. In order to nurture these qualities, KTU has introduced activity points to be earned by the students during their academic stay at the University covering extra-curricular and co curricular activities. All students have to earn a minimum of 100 activity points from various activity segments listed to qualify for the B.Tech degree. Students who complete an industrial training or internship (for at least five full days) receive 20 activity points.
An industrial training or internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest. An internship gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. It offers the employer the opportunity to bring new ideas and energy into the workplace, develop talent and potentially build a pipeline for future full-time employees.
